THERMAL ANALYSIS

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) are methods to investigate the thermal characteristics of substances like polymers and elastomers. Differential Scanning Calorimetry or DSC is a thermo-analytical technique in which the difference in the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a sample and reference is measured as a function of temperature. TGA monitors the change in mass of a substance as a function of temperature or time as the sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program. Our laboratory is equipped with Perkin Elmer DSC 7 & TGA 7 system with Pyris Software.
